Candid and Traditional Wedding
Nice-France
Last November, I had the privilege to photograph one of my first candid traditional wedding as a solo photographer. It definitely defined my style as a documentary wedding photographer.
This all-day traditional wedding started with a beautiful blue sky. Even in this month, the weather in Nice can be greyish.
First, there was the bride’s preparation: an early morning visit to the hairdresser and make-up.
Then, the civil ceremony took place at the Hotel de Ville de Nice (City Hall). This is where I had the opportunity to document the arriving guests and groom, using a candid photo style.
When the bride arrived, there were multiple traditional wedding family and group photos. The bride then made her entrance with her father for the civil ceremony.
After the beautiful civil ceremony, we arranged a portrait session in the beautiful garden of Cimiez, located in the north of the city. The reception took place at a local restaurant near Cagnes-sur-Mer.
The highlight of the evening was the bride changing into five different traditional wedding outfits. Two of my favourite outfits were the beautiful black and gold one, called the Gandoura ‘Fergani’, a traditional wedding dress of the city of Constantine (Algeria) embroidered with gold; and the stunning traditional Indian wedding outfit.
I only publish images that illustrate best my candid wedding photo style. During out meeting, however, I will show all the images taken during that wedding day. Do not hesitate to contact me to discuss your wedding photography requirement by booking your free consultation.
